Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp says he will not prevent David Nugent from joining Ipswich on loan if that is what the striker wants.Jim Magilton has made an approach to take Nugent to Portman Road on loan until the end of the season after becoming aware of 22-year-old's lack of first-team action at Fratton Park.
Nugent has made just four Premier League starts for Pompey without scoring though he has ironically scored in the FA Cup win at Ipswich.
Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "Ipswich are interested in David and want to take him on loan.
"If that is what he wants to do then I won't stand in his way. He needs to play games and if he can go there and get some goals to help them get promoted then it would do him good.
"At the end of the day it is David's decision and no-one is pushing him out.
"He's had a hernia operation three weeks ago and is not far away from being fit."
