Stoke are set to strengthen their squad yet again as they seek the final "impact player" that they hope can clinch them the Championship title. The Potters sit proudly on top of the table following an impressive run of just one defeat in 17 league games, but Tony Pulis is refusing to rest on his laurels.
The City boss has outlined his intention to sign "another impact player who can change a game" and he is now poised to boost his attacking options before the weekend clash with Ipswich.
Pulis has held his nerve until now as players signed before February 22 would not be eligible to play in the play-off final, due to the 93-day rule on loans.
However the Welshman is believed to have already lined up a signing and a deal is likely to be completed on Friday.
Scott Sinclair is among the names to have been tentatively linked with a move to the Britannia Stadium but Pulis has so far kept his cards close to his chest.
However, it is believed the new arrival will be a big-name forward from the Premier League.
