All-rounder Andrew Flintoff believes the Indian Premier League is not an option for English players because of county and international commitments.
The 30-year-old is currently in India with the England Lions team for the Duleep Trophy but which has seen some of the world's top stars auctioned off to the highest bidders.
But Flintoff, who has been out of international action since September last year due to an ankle injury, is not concerned with the money in the IPL and maintains his priorities lie with the England and Wales Cricket Board.
He told the Asian Age: "It's (IPL) not an option for the English players since we tour during the winter and play county cricket during the summer.
"Lancashire and the ECB have looked after me well and my concern is to get on the field for them."
Flintoff aims to make a successful comeback for England after seeing his return hit by further problems with the troublesome ankle.
"Each time I made a comeback, I struggled. I have seen the surgeon and I'm confident this time," he said.
"I have not been able to play competitive cricket and playing with pain has affected my batting. I want to try and discover some form in the nets and in few other areas.
"People bowl and get injured. The pressure that goes to the ankle at the time of the delivery is 10 to 12 times my body weight and I am also a big fellow. But it's unfortunate not being a part of the squad."
Flintoff, who did not bowl, could only make four in England Lions' three-wicket win over Mumbai Cricket Association XI on Tuesday.
