Mansfield midfielder Lee Bell has warned that he may be out of action for the rest of the season after suffering knee ligament damage against Darlington.
Bell, 25, tried to continue playing but was forced off at half-time with the problem.
"I knew it was quite serious at the time but I wanted to carry on playing," Bell told the club's official website.
"After talking to the medical people, it is not looking good. I think I will be out for the rest of the season.
"I can barely move my leg and I haven't slept because of the pain. I would say I will be out for a minimum of two months, which takes out most of the season.
"I am going to see a specialist at the weekend and there is a chance it could be operated on."
Stags, second-to-bottom of League Two and three points from safety, sensationally won 2-1 in Darlington, who are third in the division - an automatic promotion place.
