Gunners midfielder arrives on loan

Wycombe have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Craig Eastmond on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old, who has played 10 times in the Gunners' first team, including four appearances in the Premier League and one in the Champions League, could make his debut in Saturday's home game with Hartlepool.

"It's a very good move for me," Eastmond told Wycombe's official website. "I just want to play as many games as possible and help Wycombe move up the table. I'm always ready for a new challenge, that's what football is all about."

Wanderers manager Gary Waddock added: "He's got all the right qualities. He's joining us from one of the best clubs in England and I'm delighted that we've been able to add him to the group.

"He's hungry to develop as a player and hopefully we'll give him the perfect platform to do that."

Eastmond, converted from a right-back into a midfielder, spent the second half of last season on loan at Millwall.
