Lawrence eyeing survival

Portsmouth skipper Liam Lawrence remains confident they can avoid relegation this season.

Pompey have plunged into the bottom three after they were docked 10 points for entering administration last week.

Speaking at the News Sports Awards at Fratton Park, midfielder Lawrence said: "Everyone knows what's going on off the field, but hopefully we can now move on.

"We knew the 10-point deduction was coming, so we just have to get on with it.

"We still have plenty of spirit in our squad, so we have to remain tight as a group and keep battling away to get out of trouble."

Lawrence is currently sidelined by a hamstring injury but hopes to be back in a fortnight.

  1. With such a small suad it is looking a very hard task - it is difficult to see who wants to come to the club with the uncertain situation, we are in.

I doubt if many players with quality would want to come to the club as we dont have 2 pennies to rub together.

Oh well a game at a time - and lets see what happens.

    Play - up - Pompey - Pompey - Stay - up!
