Portsmouth striker Milan Baros is relishing the opportunity to lead the line in Saturday's early Premier League kick-off away to Tottenham.Pompey will be without Baros' fellow frontman Jermain Defoe against his former club after the Premier League confirmed he was ineligible, having initially joined on loan before a permanent move was finalised.
Pompey admit they were caught unawares over the rule as it stands, believing it only applied to goalkeepers as in the case of Tim Howard moving from Manchester United, first on loan and then permanently, to Everton last season.
But Harry Redknapp - already without injured captain Sol Campbell and suspended midfielders Papa Bouba Diop and Sulley Muntari - has to redraw his plans for the trip to White Hart Lane with £7million Nigerian John Utaka now looking likely to partner on-loan Baros up front.
Baros, yet to score for Pompey despite a string of impressive outings since joining in January, admitted: "It's a tough place to go, of course. They are doing well.
"They won the Carling Cup and on Wednesday played a great game, again, with Chelsea
"But we are confident as well. We've done very well in the last few games. We won at Manchester United in the FA Cup and are doing well in the league also.
"Jermain has been doing well. He has scored a lot of goals and he's been picked for England again which shows his quality.
"He's always in the right place at the right time to score, it seems. But for me it doesn't matter who scores the goals as long as the team is winning and getting three points. That's the most important thing.
"I want to score goals, of course I do, and I am sure they will come in time but I just try to do my best in every game. I don't think I've played badly without scoring.
"Maybe I just need a lucky goal but all I can do is keep working hard and if I can't score then just keep trying to win the ball and make opportunities for others."
