Douglas may make his Leeds return

Fri 21 Mar, 01:15 PM

Leeds manager Gary McAllister could be tempted to recall skipper Jonathan Douglas to his squad for the late clash with Walsall on Saturday.Douglas has been sidelined with knee ligament damage since December, but came through 90 minutes for the reserves unscathed in midweek and could take a place on the bench.

Leeds will be without suspended midfielder Andrew Hughes, who recently returned to the side following a knee injury, as he sits out the first of a two-game ban.

Frazer Richardson could step up in Hughes' absence, but McAllister has several options, with Sebastian Carole and Peter Sweeney both starring for the reserves in midweek.

Striker Anthony Elding is pushing for a return to the squad after his midweek double for the second string, but McAllister is not expected to make too many changes to the side held at Port Vale last week.

Kick-off at Elland Road is 5.20pm.
