Ben Sahar is back in contention for Sheffield Wednesday for the home clash with Crystal Palace in the Championship on Saturday. The teenage Chelsea striker, signed on loan at the end of last month, briefly returned to Stamford Bridge for treatment on a hamstring injury.
The Israeli international, who also had tonsilitis, could return to the substitutes' bench.
Midfielder Steve Watson and full-back Frank Simek both came through 90 minutes with the reserves in midweek following long-term hamstring and ankle injuries respectively and could return to the bench.
But manager Brian Laws is unlikely to make any changes from the side that claimed seven points from their last three matches after last week's draw at Coventry.
Striker Leon Clarke also appeared for the second string this week after recovering from a cartilage operation and will soon be back in contention. Forwards Akpo Sodje and Francis Jeffers (both ankle) and defender Lee Bullen remain sidelined.
