Drogba Rows With Ten Cate

Didier Drogba reportedly had a dressing room row with Chelsea assistant Henk ten Cate after their 4-4 draw with Spurs on Wednesday.

According to the Daily Mirror, Drogba was furious with manager Avram Grant after he made a series of questionable substitutions as they attempted to hold onto their lead.

Grant took off Joe Cole - scorer of two goals and regarded by most as the man of the match - and brought on Alex, setting his team out with an unfamiliar three-man defence.

Drogba reportedly expressed his disbelief at Grant's decisions to Steve Clarke as he left the pitch, then confronted ten Cate in the dressing room after the game.

This is the second time that senior Chelsea players have argued with ten Cate, after skipper John Terry had words after the Carling Cup final defeat - also to Spurs - last month.

The former Ajax manager is famous for being confident to the point of arrogance, and for rubbing his charges up the wrong way.

After a good run of form had put Chelsea back into the title race, the two points dropped at White Hart Lane could prove crucial to their league bid.

They must now beat Arsenal on Sunday to stay in touch with the leaders, something that their record against the big sides this season suggests they will struggle to do. Chelsea have failed to beat any of the top seven so far this term, and have only taken two points from their 'Big Four' rivals.
