Alan Pardew could throw Lee Cook into Charlton's faltering Championship play-off bid for the crucial Good Friday clash with West Brom at The Valley.

The Northern Ireland winger has been struggling for fitness since joining the Addicks on loan from Fulham in January following a long-term hip injury, but he got 90 minutes under his belt for the reserves in midweek.

Pardew is expected to revert to 4-4-2 after three straight Championship defeats so one of Andy Gray, Luke Varney or Chris Iwelumo will partner Leroy Lita in attack.

Centre-half Madjid Bougherra remains a doubt with a foot injury so Sam Sodje and Paddy McCarthy continue at the back, while winger Lloyd Sam (hamstring) is still out.

Strikers Svetoslav Todorov, Izale McLeod and Chris Dickson all remain sidelined with long-term knee injuries. Scott Sinclair, signed on loan from Chelsea, is unlikely to feature with Crystal Palace eyeing a late swoop for his services.

Carl Hoefkens could return for West Brom, but defender Leon Barnett has been ruled out with a hamstring problem suffered after the home defeat to Leicester.

Belgium international Hoefkens has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury but has resumed training and could be in contention.

Albion's injury problems have worsened with the news that Dutchman Sherjill MacDonald will have a knee operation this week and will be sidelined for around a fortnight.

Chris Brunt (hamstring) and James Morrison (ankle) are moving closer to fitness but this game will come too soon for the midfielders.

On-loan Aston Villa striker Luke Moore begins a three-match suspension following his red card against Leicester.
