Milan playmaker Kaka has ruled himself out for Brazil's friendly against Sweden in London because of a thigh injury.
Brazil face the Swedes in another showcase international fixture at the Emirates Stadium, although Kaka - who starred in the 1-1 draw at Wembley earlier in the season - will be a notable absentee on Wednesday.
"I definitely will not be able to play the friendly with my national team," the World Player of the Year told Milan TV. "I suffered a muscular problem and now we'll see how much time is needed for me to be available again.
"I am working to return as quickly a possible with physiotherapy and a little swimming to avoid running and harder movements in order to give the muscle chance to rest."
The 25-year-old pulled up with the injury during Milan's 2-1 home defeat by Sampdoria in Serie A in midweek.
Mexico also face Ghana on Wednesday night, at Fulham's Craven Cottage.
