Sven Kramer and Martina Sablikova claimed the overall titles at the World Allround Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen.
Kramer's victory in the 5000 metres, with Norway's Havard Bokko and Dutch team-mate Ted-Jan Bloemen completing the podium, was enough to see off the challenge of 1500m winner, American Jonathan Kuck, by just six tenths of a second across the four events.
Defending the title he won in Norway last year means Kramer finishes a memorable season on a high.
Tipped to win three golds in Vancouver, the 23-year old will look back on the Winter Olympics with mixed feelings.
He won the 5000m title but then was widely criticised for an interview he gave to an American journalist and was then disqualified in the 1000m after his coach gave him an incorrect lane change direction.
Double Olympic champion Sablikova finished third in the 1500m and won the 5000m to beat Canada's Kristina Groves, who won the 1500m, by just under half a second across four events.
Holland's Ireen Wust claimed third overall.
