Ifill ready for summer regime

Mon 21 Apr, 03:30 PM

Crystal Palace winger Paul Ifill is hoping to come back stronger next season after putting his injury nightmare behind him.The 28-year-old has struggled with hamstring and back injuries this season, but came off the bench to score a wonder-goal in the 2-0 win over Watford on Saturday.

Having seen another campaign ravaged by injury, Ifill revealed that he will undergo a course of Pilates in the summer in a bid to cure his fitness problems.

"It was nice to come off the bench and score because it has been a poor season for me and it is nice to be back. It was nice to make an impact and now we are another three points closer to staying in the play-offs," he said.

"I have a few things I want to put in place over the summer to make sure the problem improves. It is to do with my pelvis and I need to become more flexible, so I am thinking about taking up Pilates and there are other things which can help me.

"I know what needs to be done and I need some time away from football and I will get that in the summer, so hopefully I will come back stronger."
