Gavin Rae has refused to give up on Cardiff's play-off hopes - and admits Tuesday's trip to Wolves is now a "must-win" clash.Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Scunthorpe left the Bluebirds 13th in the Championship eight points behind sixth-placed Crystal Palace with three games to play.
That leaves the FA Cup finalists needing a minor miracle to finish in the top six, but the Scotland international insists they will keep fighting until it is mathematically impossible.
"Wolves is still a must-win game for us," he told the South Wales Echo. "We were devastated not to get anything from Scunthorpe, for the points on offer and to keep our unbeaten run going.
"It doesn't matter about other results - we've got to look after ourselves. If we keep pushing, you never know. While the points are still there, you keep going.
"We know we've got to win all our games and hope Palace lose all theirs, but there are other teams in it as well. Of course, it's made it very difficult now, but we want to finish the season as well as we can and take some pride from it. Then we'll see where we are."
