World Cup winner Rivaldo has revealed he could return to Brazil if his AEK Athens side are not awarded the Greek Super League title this week.Rivaldo's former club Olympiakos clinched the title on Sunday, finishing the season two points ahead of AEK, but face an anxious wait to find out if they will be deducted three points in a court hearing on Thursday.
Olympiakos lost to Apollon Kalamaria in February but the Greek Football Federation awarded them the points from the game after it was revealed Apollon's Roman Wallner had already played for Scottish sides Falkirk and Hamilton that season.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport will hear the case Thursday and could hand the points back to Apollon, which would give AEK the title by one point.
"If we are not vindicated I will ask the club president (Demis Nikolaidis) to release me from my contract so that I can leave Greece," Rivaldo said.
"I enjoyed winning this league title more than any I have won in Greece.
"A team that was not good enough to win the title on the pitch does not deserve the trophy. Football is a beautiful sport and should be played on the pitch.
"I will probably go back to Brazil to finish my career."
Rivaldo, whose list of former clubs include Barcelona and AC Milan, won three Super League titles and two Greek Cups during his three years at Olympiakos before leaving to arch rivals AEK last summer.
The 36-year-old is regarded as one of Brazil's best players of all time and has often said he would like to finish his career in his home country.
