QPR boss Luigi De Canio has hailed defender Damion Stewart following his performance in the 1-0 win over Charlton at the weekend.The 27-year-old produced a fine display against the Addicks as the Rs extended their unbeaten run to seven games.

Stewart has become one of QPR's most consistent performers this season, but De Canio believes there is room for improvement.

"Damion was excellent," he told the club's official website.

"He's a really good footballer, but there is still great room for improvement.

"When he focuses for the 90 minutes, he is a great asset for us."
