Darlington boss Dave Penney has refused to quash speculation linking highly-rated goalkeeper David Stockdale with a move to Fulham.With former Quakers managing director Barry Simmonds reportedly poised to join the Cottagers as chief scout, rumours are rife Stockdale is also set to relocate to Craven Cottage.

The 22-year-old signed a new deal until 2009 last November, but Penney is remaining coy over the youngster's future at the club.

"There might be something happening," Penney told the Northern Echo. "Nothing is going to happen before the end of the season with him or any of our players.

"We want to make sure the players and the club keep focused on our remaining games. Nobody is going to move until the summer.

"Next season we might be in a higher division and things change if you're in a higher division."
