Paul Sturrock aims to end the season on a high with an improved finish but admits he will look at shaking up his Plymouth Argyle this summer. The highest the Pilgrims have achieved since their return to the Championship is last season's 11th-placed final standing and, with two games remaining, Sturrock believes he has set a realistic target.
However, having largely inherited the current crop of players from former boss Ian Holloway in November, the Scotsman admits he may delve into the transfer market to bolster the Pilgrims squad for their next campaign.
"Our aim now is to finish as high as we can. We can only do that by winning football games and we have got another home game next week," said Sturrock.
"It does enable me to have a look at one or two (players) but we won't be taking our foot off the pedal as far as getting results is concerned because we do want to finish up the league as high as possible."
"It's been a learning curve for everybody at the football club. I definitely believe there is a freshness needed at this football club, personnel-wise, something I will be trying hard to bring in the next six weeks."
