Moussa Sow's first-half goal earned Stade Rennes a 1-0 win at Grenoble and a place in the French Cup final for the first time in 38 years.
The Brittany side will face Toulouse or Guingamp at the Stade de France in the showpiece match on May 9.
Striker Sow netted the winner in the 21st minute when he headed home after Grenoble goalkeeper Ronan Le Crom failed to block an Olivier Thomert attempt.
Grenoble, who were promoted to Ligue 1 last season, hit the woodwork shortly before the interval when Pierre Boya's shot on the turn crashed against Nicolas Douchez's crossbar.
Rennes, gunning for their first French Cup since 1971, were denied a second goal when Sow beat Le Crom with another header 10 minutes into the second half but he was flagged offside.
The visitors then just sat back as Grenoble failed to create any clear chances.
Toulouse, who are still in contention for a Champions League spot next season, host Ligue 2 side Guingamp in the second semi-final on Wednesday.
