Walsall defender Paul Boertien has signed a new contract with the League One club and is delighted to be staying on.The 29-year-old moved to the Banks's Stadium from Derby on a free transfer last summer.
With a new manager set to be appointed in the near future, Boertien believes the future looks promising for the Saddlers.
"I am pleased to get my contract sorted. I was very keen to stay here, it is a good club with some talented young players coming through who will only benefit from their experiences over the past season," Boertien told the club's official website.
"With the right manager and the right signings, there is no reason why we can't push on and do very well next season.
"There is a lot to look forward to here. It is a fresh start for everyone and with the new training ground almost in place, it is an exciting time to be involved with the club."
