Stockport captain Gareth Owen will be fit to face Rochdale in the League Two play-off final despite suffering a broken cheekbone.Owen had lengthy treatment from physio Roger Wylde for an accidental clash of heads during the club's semi-final victory over Wycombe at the weekend.
X-rays taken during the week have revealed the injury but Owen has made himself available to play in Monday's final against Dale at Wembley.
Owen told County Radio: "I've broken my cheekbone and my eye's a bit swollen, but it will take more than that to stop me playing.
"I've seen the specialist and he has given me the all-clear to play with a mask.
"The lads have said it will probably improve my looks but I can take that, and if it gets me to Wembley I'll take anything."
