Alan Irvine has warned Preston's returning loan quartet "it is up to every player to impress" ahead of his side's pre-season campaign.Brett Ormerod, Jason Jarrett, Andrew Murphy and Joe Anyinsah all spent various parts of the 2007/08 season on loan at Nottingham Forest, Oldham, Vauxhall Motors and Crewe respectively.
But Irvine has told his squad they will all report back for pre-season training with a 'clean slate' as he makes preparations for the Lilywhites next Championship campaign.
"On 1st July it is a clean slate and it is up to every player to impress", Irvine told the club's official website.
"The last who went out on loan will have the same chance as everybody, everyone has to start afresh and impress right the way through pre-season.
"If it was me, I would make sure that I'd be coming back in the very best condition that I could do."
