First-team coach Paul Trollope believes Bristol Rovers face stern competition to sign out-of-contract Coventry striker Wayne Andrews. The 30-year-old suffered cruciate ligament damage just 20 minutes into his first appearance for Rovers after joining the club on loan in March.
Andrews has since undergone surgery and is set to remain at the Ricoh Arena until he makes a full recovery, but he will be released by the Sky Blues this summer.
Trollope told the Evening Post: "There are a lot of clubs after Wayne but we have told him he can still come to us providing he makes a full recovery from the injury."
