Darlington boss Colin Todd is remaining tight-lipped on speculation that Dean Windass is set to become his number two at the Darlington Arena.

Todd was appointed into the Quakers hot-seat on Wednesday after former chairman George Houghton put together a package to bring the cash-strapped club out of administration and rumours instantly spread that the veteran Hull striker is set to become Todd's assistant.

The pair were together at Bradford for three years between 2004 and 2007 and formed a close relationship, but Todd would not be moved on whether the 40-year-old will be following him up the A1.

"Deano is a name that has been touted around but I'm just going to be patient on that for the moment," Todd told the Telegraph & Argus.
