Premier League - Ooijer agrees PSV move

Blackburn defender Andre Ooijer has confirmed he will be returning to PSV Eindhoven next season.

Ooijer, 34, will play his final match on Sunday against West Brom at Ewood Park.

He is bringing the curtain down on three seasons with Blackburn after arriving from the Dutch club in August 2006.

Ooijer said: "This is going to be my last match on Sunday as I am going back to PSV. I wanted to keep it a little bit quiet as we were in a relegation battle.

"It has been a difficult decision as I have had three great years at this club. But it is time for me to go home. I am just happy that Blackburn are safe.

"I am sure I have become a better person because it is a big experience to live abroad and play abroad."

  2. Can't help remembering his debut at Blackburn, one­ of the worst ever, up their with Woodgates at Real­ Madrid after 18 Months out injured. He's obviously­ won over the Blackburn faithful since then so good luck­ to him in anything he goes on the achieve.
