Pools to learn Snodgrass fate

Sat 21 Jun, 10:45 AM

Hartlepool will learn by Monday whether they have won the race to sign Scottish Under-21 striker Rob Snodgrass. The 20-year-old rejected a three-year deal to stay at Livingston, but despite being out of contract, compensation would be required as Snodgrass is under 24.

"I haven't decided yet, but I hope to know where my future is within the next 24 to 48 hours," he admitted to the Northern Echo.

"I've been down south over the past couple of weeks visiting the clubs and their stadiums and I feel the time is right for a fresh challenge.

"The new owners of Livingston offered me a three-year deal but I told them I was keen to move on and take the next step in my career."
