Brentford midfielder David Hunt insists he is raring to go as his side prepare to embark on life in League One.

The 26-year-old joined the Bees on a short-term deal in January and played a key role in their successful League Two promotion run-in.

He has now signed a two-year contract and told the club's official website: "Brentford was absolutely my first choice.

"I have a great relationship with all the players and the management team - they were the reasons I wanted to come here in the first place.

"I think of Brentford as my home club, and I would have been gutted to be anywhere else than here."
