Joe Jacobson insists he is moving to a bigger club following his switch from Bristol Rovers to League One rivals Oldham.
The 22-year-old defender has spent the last two years with the Pirates but injury restricted him to 22 games during a frustrating 2008/09 campaign.
Jacobson told the Oldham Chronicle: "I think I have joined a bigger and better club than Bristol Rovers and I am delighted to have the opportunity to play here."
He added: "I am looking for us to be up near the top challenging for promotion. I cannot wait to get started."

Let's be right here, is there such a big club in this current Div 1, maybe Leeds, MK Dons, but OLDHAM and BRISTOL R, don't think so and I am a loyal Oldham fan. The PREM is killing us with stupid costly transfers for players that don't deserve the wage, the limelight and no where near the stardum the get, lower teams fight for there places where the PREM players dance around like ballet dancers complaining about everything. He has joined a good team but no better than any other team in this Division.

Jo - you had some great times with the Gas but, for variouus reasons, last season didn't work out for you. I'm sorry to see you leave as I think you have the potential to be a good player but don't be bitter about it, it's football. Good luck to you, but not against Rovers obviously.
Bigger Club? Oldham finished 1 place above the Gas yet their average gate is 2,000 a game less.
Hey Joe, you may THINK you are joining a bigger club, but if you make as many defensive @#$%-ups as you did for the Gas, you'll be playing for Oldham in the Conference league!! Rovers are on the up - you are on the way out!
No No Joe lets not get bitter, you were not good enough for a new contract, time to grow up.
