US Open champion Graeme McDowell climbed 24 places to a career-high number 13 in the world rankings following his victory at Pebble Beach on Sunday.
The Northern Irishman became the first European in 40 years to win the year's second Major championship when he beat French qualifier Gregory Havret by one shot.
Havret's surprise performance in his first US Open sent him soaring up the list by nearly 300 places to 104th.
Tiger Woods, who finished the US Open in joint fourth, remained top of rankings released on Monday. Fellow American Phil Mickleson stayed second and Britain's Lee Westwood third.
