Scunthorpe striker Gary Hooper is under no pressure to perform following his £125,000 move from Southend, according to boss Nigel Adkins.Adkins used some of the money generated by the sale of Martin Paterson to lure Hooper to Glanford Park.
But Adkins bristles at suggestions all eyes will be on the 20-year-old this season.
"There is no pressure whatsoever," said Adkins.
"I've spent money on all my players. We've spent money at this football club and bought Paul Hayes, Ben May, Jonathan Forte, Gary Hooper, Kevan Hurst, Grant McCann, and we've also brought in Garry Thompson on a free.
"I tell you what, what a potent forward-thinking line-up that is. There's goals in that team."
