Northampton boss Stuart Gray admits his new-look side are relishing the prospect of pitting their wits against Championship outfit QPR.The Cobblers face Rangers in a pre-season friendly at Sixfields on Wednesday after returning from their tour of Germany.

Gray told the club's official website: "It was a decent pitch in Germany but now we want to be back on a familiar surface.

"The new lads are all looking forward to their first taste of playing at Sixfields.

"I know that Liam Davis and Leon Constantine have played here before but it is always different when it is your first home game and I know that they, along with Abdul Osman, are really looking forward to Wednesday."
