Bernardo Corradi has reiterated his desire to quit Manchester City - and has set his sights on a move to the Serie A with Reggina.
The 32-year-old has failed to settle after arriving at City from Spanish side Valencia on a three-year deal in July 2006.
Corradi managed just three goals in 29 appearances for City before he was sent out on loan to Parma at the beginning of last season.
And the Italian is now keen on a permanent return to his homeland and he is hopeful that City and Reggina can reach an agreement.
"I want to come back to Italy and I want Reggina," Corradi told Corriere dello Sport.
"I don't want to make any other announcements because I would prefer to wait for the situation to be concluded.
"I am waiting with confidence. I have told the English side what I want."
Meanwhile, reports in Italy suggest Genoa have made a €7million (£5.6m) for Rolando Bianchi.
The striker spent part of the last campaign on loan at Lazio and is believed to be keen on a move away from Eastlands in order to secure first-team football.
