QPR manager Iain Dowie has played down concerns surrounding the injuries to defender Mikele Leigertwood and goalkeeper Radek Cerny. Both players missed Saturday's 3-1 pre-season friendly win over Stevenage with Cerny struggling with a hamstring injury and Leigertwood out with an Achilles problem.
But Dowie has dampened fears the pair will be sidelined for a long period and insists they must be given as much time as they need to make a full recovery.
"Mikele's is not too much of a problem but discretion is the better part of valour and it's just important it doesn't flare up," said Dowie.
"Radek has a bit of a tight hamstring which is probably going to keep him out for another week. It's nothing major."
