Portsmouth star Peter Crouch has revealed his desire to end his career at Fratton Park after making a big-money move from Liverpool last week.Crouch spent less than a year at Pompey when he had a spell with the South Coast club earlier in his career, but has now put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract.
The 27-year-old has not been able to settle anywhere for a considerable length of time until now, but he is looking forward to an extended stay at Portsmouth.
He is excited about the direction Portsmouth are heading in under Harry Redknapp, and believes he can fulfil his ambitions with the club.
"I feel at home in this part of the world and I feel settled here," Crouch told Pompey's official website.
"Hopefully I can stay here for the remainder of my four-year contract and then beyond that.
"I can see myself ending my career here.
"This is a side moving forward and I think we can achieve everything I want to achieve.
"The manager's strengthened the side and used his money wisely. The side's a lot better than the last time I was here.
"There are also plans for a new training ground and a new stadium.
"This is a club on the up and up and that's why I joined."
