Whites mulling over striker trial

Mon 21 Jul, 04:45 PM

League One outfit Leeds are expecting another striker to join their squad for the final match of their mini pre-season tour of Ireland.Wolves forward Jay Bothroyd is currently agonising over a possible move to Elland Road after the two clubs agreed a fee last week, but the 26-year-old is baulking over a drop into League One.

Manager Gary McAllister may be forced to turn elsewhere in a bid to add some more firepower to his squad and hopes to include a trialist for this week's match against Shelbourne.

With the Bothroyd deal wavering, McAllister confirmed he had "two or three" other options open to him.

  1. As a Leeds fan living in Milton Keynes and seeing quite a number of Dons matches over the past two seasons I would agree with Andrews. Not only does he control the game but is a excellent set piece taker

  2. we should sign andrews from m.k.dons. he showed last season how he can control a game

from midfield and with prutton there wont be a stronger pairing in this league or the championship.
