Wokingham winner Big Timer will miss Saturday's totesport International at Ascot.
Linda Perratt's charge was a low as 14-1 for the competitive heat but is on the sidelines following his win at the Royal meeting.
The trainer told sportinglife.com:: "He came back from Ascot with a slight injury on a fetlock joint. It looks like it's been bruised, so he's been box rested.
"He's doing a little bit of walking at the moment so we will get him re-scanned and hopefully we will able to crack on with him again. We are down about it but at least it didn't happen a week before the Wokingham."
Immediate plans are on ice but Big Timer could be on his travels over the winter.
"We could have a crack at the Ayr Gold Cup if it came at the right time for him. That's maybe an option. Dubai in January could also be a place for him. It's just a question of getting him right before we decide where to go," Perratt added.
