Milan will not increase a 14 million euro (£12m) bid for Sevilla's Brazil striker Luis Fabiano.

"We are absolutely firm on our offer," chief executive Adriano Galliani said at Italian league headquarters.

"The price indicated by Sevilla must come down otherwise the deal won't go ahead."

The Rossoneri are keeping a lid on spending despite selling Kaka to Real Madrid for 67 million euros (£59m).

Juventus want Barcelona defender Martin Caceres but they must sell Christian Poulsen first.

"It's more than just rumours but it is all linked to Poulsen and the fact that we have to bring some money in," club president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli said at the same meeting as Galliani.

Uruguay defender Caceres struggled to break into the first-team at Barca while Denmark midfielder Poulsen does not feature in new coach Ciro Ferrara's plans after only one season in Turin.
