Key defender Aleksandar Tunchev is to kick-off his comeback from injury when Leicester take on Mansfield on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old Bulgaria international has not featured for the Foxes since he suffered knee ligament damage in an FA Cup tie with Crystal Palace in January.

"I'll maybe get 30 minutes at Mansfield and then more time in the other games," he told the Leicester Mercury.

"I feel better every week and want to be 100% ready for the start of the season."

Meanwhile, City boss Nigel Pearson has terminated the contract of Irish midfielder Johnny Hayes who has failed to make an impact at the Walkers Stadium.
