Oldham outcast JP Kalala put himself in the shop window after netting a goal for the reserves in their 3-2 win over Manchester City. The 26-year-old midfielder has found himself frozen out of manager John Sheridan's first-team plans and is available on a free transfer.
Kalala, who still has a year left on his contract, tucked away a fine curler to put Oldham 3-0 up before half-time.
Ryan Brooke and Deane Smalley were also on target for the Latics, while Kieran Lee and John Thompson continued their comeback from injuries by getting 90 minutes under their belts ahead of Saturday's clash with Cheltenham.
