Diop blow for Pompey

Portsmouth travel to Arsenal without midfielder Papa Bouba Diop, who faces three to six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

The Senegal international is set to undergo a scan to confirm the extent of the problem but he will definitely sit out the clash at Emirates Stadium.

Manager Paul Hart remains without Herman Hreidarsson and Steve Finnan, who are also suffering with hamstring problems and are at least two weeks away from returning.

  1. Surely something must be wrong with Pompey's­ training methods with the high number of hamstring­ injuries last season and already this year again. 3 or­ 4 players out already with hamstring injuries. Needs­ looking at???

  2. that was a good buy, wasnt it? finnan...on a bank­ filler before he retires and Pompey get suckered in­ again. Hands in pockets board, cough up some dough and­ get rid of Hart. We need someone who is high profile­ enough to attract high profile players.
