FOOTBALL 2009-2010 Premier League Manchester United Rooney Anderson - 0

Arsenal 4-0 Wigan

Wigan have now lost 30 of their 34 Premier League matches against 'Big Four' opposition, and they have not won in their last 14 Premier League visits to London.

Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen scored his second and third Premier League goals for the club; he is the highest scoring defender in the division this season.

Aston Villa 2-0 Portsmouth

Portsmouth became the first team in Premier League history to lose their first six Premier League matches of the season. Portsmouth have lost their last seven Premier League matches - their longest outright run of league defeats, and longest in 22 years since a club record 11 consecutive top-flight defeats from March 1959 to Aug 1987.

James Milner scored his first ever penalty in the Premier League. This was Villa's fifth consecutive successful league penalty, since Ashley Young had his effort saved in their 2-1 win at Arsenal in November 2008.

Bolton 1-1 Stoke

Dave Kitson scored his second Premier League goal for Stoke, and his first away from home. In total, 11 of his 14 career Premier League goals have come in the second half of matches.

Bolton's Matthew Taylor has scored six of his seven career Premier League penalties, and has netted penalties in consecutive matches after scoring in their 3-2 win at Portsmouth last week.

Burnley 3-1 Sunderland

Burnley became only the second ever promoted team in Premier League history to win their first three home matches of the season. The only other side to achieve this feat was Blackburn Rovers 17 years ago - they won their first three home matches in 1992-93 after winning promotion.

Graham Alexander's penalty for Burnley made him the oldest scorer in the Premier League this season at 37 years and 344 days old. He also becomes the eighth-oldest ever player to score in the Premier League, and the oldest ever Scottish player.

David Nugent scored his first ever Premier League double, and he became the first player to score twice after coming off the bench in six months since Emmanuel Eboue in Arsenal's 4-0 home win against Blackburn on March 14.

Hull 0-1 Birmingham

This was Hull's 13th defeat in 22 Premier League matches at the KC Stadium.

Birmingham City remain the only Premier League team without a first half goal this season. In total, they have not scored in their last nine hours and 14 minutes of first half Premier League football since they netted in 4-1 home win against Blackburn on the final day of the 2007-08 season.

West Ham 2-3 Liverpool

Fernando Torres scored his eighth Premier League double for Liverpool, and fifth league goal against West Ham. The Spaniard has scored 43 Premier League goals since joining the club before the 2007-08 season more goals than any other current Premier League player over the same period.

West Ham's Carlton Cole scored his 29th career Premier League goal and his first against a 'Big Four' side.

Manchester United 4-3 Manchester City

Wayne Rooney's second-minute goal marked the 1300th goal for Manchester United in the Premier League. They have scored more goals than any other team in the competition.

The previous time Manchester City scored three goals at United was on April 12, 1972, when the match ended in a 1-3 win for City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 Fulham

Wolves were starting with the youngest line-up in the Premier League this season. Mick McCarthy's side was on average 24 years and 129 days old.

Danny Murphy scored his 14th penalty in the Premier League and he converted his sixth penalty in a row.

Everton 3-0 Blackburn Rovers

Louis Saha scored his 64th and 65th Premier League goals and his ninth and 10th for Everton. Only three Frenchmen have scored more goals in the Premier League than Saha (Thierry Henry, Nicolas Anelka and Eric Cantona).

Blackburn lost their seventh successive away match in the Premier League, a club record. The last time they lost seven away matches in a row in the English top flight was in 1965-1966 when they lost a club record 11 successive away matches in English top flight.

Chelsea 3-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Michael Ballack scored his third goal of the season. The German has now scored 16 Premier League goals. Jurgen Klinsmann (30) and Uwe Rosler (29) are the only players from Germany to have scored more Premier League goals.

This is the second time that Tottenham have lost by a three-goal margin under Harry Redknapp. They lost 5-2 against Manchester United on 25 Apr 2009.
