Bryan Redpath has vowed there can be no hiding place for his players after Gloucester crashed to an emphatic home defeat against Northampton.

Saints' 27-14 victory at Kingsholm left Gloucester reeling again, just six days after conceding 40 points to London Irish.

Gloucester must now brace themselves for a trip to unbeaten Saracens next weekend - and head coach Redpath is ready for some tough talking.

"No-one can bury their heads - we've got to stick together," Redpath (pictured) said.

"I will be very honest with the players. I won't hide any of my thoughts - we weren't good enough, and we cannot hide behind it. We have all got to stick our hands up."

Northampton posted a comfortable win, with fly-half Shane Geraghty easing them through the gears as they recorded a rare Premiership away victory.

Prop Soane Tonga'uiha and centre Jon Clarke scored tries in each half, while Geraghty kicked 11 points and wing Bruce Reihana booted two long-range penalties.

Gloucester could only muster an Akapusi Qera try and three Nicky Robinson penalties, with numerous home fans leaving the ground early after a miserable display.

Northampton recorded only their second Premiership away win in 31 months, and rugby director Jim Mallinder was delighted at the outcome.

"Sometimes when you go away from home it's not about how you play, it's about getting the scores," he said.

"This is a good place to win, and defensively in the last 20 minutes I thought we showed a lot of spirit.

"We had the belief, and we put in a competitive performance. Our away form last season was poor, so this result is massive for us.

"Shane Geraghty looked good at 10. He showed good decision-making, he defended well and he kicked the ball at the right times."
