Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce revealed only Chris Samba and Paul Robinson deserve to keep their place in the side after they were beaten 3-0 at Everton.
Louis Saha scored twice and Joseph Yobo was also on target as the Toffees cruised to victory at Goodison Park.
Allardyce will now make changes for Tuesday's Carling Cup tie at Nottingham Forest and insists shirts are now up for grabs against Aston Villa in the league next weekend.
He said: "No player deserves to keep their shirts for the midweek Carling Cup game(at Nottingham Forest), apart from Chris Samba and Paul Robinson.
"The team defended poorly after we had worked hard on the training ground to counter what Everton do.
"(Everton full-back) Leighton Baines has a good delivery from wide areas, we worked on those things and they did not seem to take any notice of any of that."

Hi I claudius not to put too fine a point on it ive had the faith since johnny carey was the manager and langton, crossen, quigly, elvy, briggs, eckersly, bimpson, clayton, douglas, mc cloud, newton pickering etc etc etc that makesme the greatest believer in faith in blackburn rovers there ever was pal!
Dont see many of the blackburn faithfull going to Port vale in the second div on a snowy wet sat afternoon these days???
Just very very dissapointed in the way we play these days unless our backs are to the wall and salary's are in jepardy! Sam kept us up and ive no doubt he will do it again but for gods sake lets have some change upfront or we will never survive roberts pederson mc carthy gurrilla dunn just not up to it all to slow on the pitch and in the head! Nelson been a great servent but too slow diouff too stupid where do we find these guy's???
Hi Steve f. I was merely pointing out u got the day wrong, that's all. Rovers will stay up, Allardyce knows what he's doing. We will get it right. Have faith.
Hi Emperor gladius 1. did they play at all?? if they did i cant remember seeing it??
i understand your frustrations mate being an evertonian is not that easy either i watched efc play an abysmal game at fulham last week and thought the bloody wheels have come off but we must remember its only earley days in the new season and big sam will have them chasing shadows again and for me i thought richard dunn tried hard against us a player whom everton should buy if the chance arose but anyway when all said and done mate both clubs need a rich Arab or a russian oil mafiaoso if you know what i mean and both clubs at the end of the season will be considered also rans so dont worry too much bud .
Rovers played on Sunday, steve f. Not Saturday.
Said it once ill say it again! the players (sorry alledged players) do not care a dam about the club, management or the supporters! the performance on saturday in the second half proves that point, guttless, headless chickens, no effort, no plan, no counter plan worse display ive ever seen.
Some of the players are quite capeable but with the old guard from last season it was a disgracefull affair! when are we going to see some new faces?, they only seem to want to play against teams they have a chance of winning against and then only just do enough to pick up the points and their wages.
Talking about wages they only come together when theres a chance they might go down and get a reduced salary its the only thing there interested in cars, haircuts, late nights out boozing and money its time for a radicle new approach at ewood before its to late if its not to late already the games comming up are just not winnable with this paltry lot god forbid we loose to the dingles!! portsmouth is the next chance we have for sure. What price relegation now if your reading this (overeaction james NOT!!)
