St Mirren defender Mo Camara could be out of action for up to six weeks after boss Gus MacPherson confirmed he will have a cartilage operation this week.
The full-back, 34, is still experiencing pain after initially picking up the injury in pre-season. He missed Saturday`s defeat at Aberdeen and is set to be sidelined for several more weeks as he prepares to go under the knife in the coming days.
"It stems back to an injury he picked up in a pre-season game against Wigan and he will have surgery this week," MacPherson said.
"It`s hard to say at the moment how long he will be out for until the extent of the damage is known.
"But we are hoping it will be a standard cartilage operation and he will be out for between four to six weeks."
