Preston boss Alan Irvine has vowed to keep rotating his strikers in order to get the best out of them this season.
North End boast a quartet of proven goalscorers in Chris Brown, Neil Mellor, Jon Parkin and Stephen Elliott.
Irvine started with Parkin and Elliott during last week's defeat at Scunthorpe but opted for Mellor and Brown against Coventry on Saturday and both men scored in Preston's 3-2 win.
Irvine said: "I know everyone uses the word rotating, but really I'm trying to pick players for certain games.
"I felt Brown and Mellor were the right combination on Saturday having looked at Coventry beforehand.
"I think changing the strikers round gives them a chance to come into games feeling a bit fresher."
