Keane urges patience

Ipswich boss Roy Keane has admitted his side have "a long, long way to go" if they are to challenge in the Championship this season.

Keane saw his side draw 3-3 at Doncaster on Saturday to leave them without a league win this season and already 16 points behind leaders West Brom.

Keane said: "We're a new team and it will take time. But we have spirit and unity and we are ready for the long, tough battle ahead.

"But it's going to be one of those seasons when it's going to be a long battle and we're going to have to give some players the benefit of the doubt as they settle into the football club, both on and off the pitch.

"We have a long, long way to go at the moment. We have to be patient and by that I mean over the next few months, not just the next few weeks.

"We are well short of the Newcastles, Middlesbroughs and West Broms at the moment."

  3. we are a worse side now than when he took over, no doubt.
His changes to the squad have made us worse, we were a half decent side, but lacked in certain areas to be able to push on and get promoted, but now we are just laughing stock.
Well done Mr Keane, I hope you are pleased with yourself.
