Southend's Francis Laurent is hopeful of making the right-wing position his own after grabbing a late winner at Brighton.
The Frenchman replaced Roy O'Donovan with 16 minutes remaining and scored a sublime solo goal in stoppage time to seal a thrilling 3-2 win at the Withdean Stadium.
It was Laurent's first goal since last November and the former FSV Mainz star is aiming to being recalled to the starting line-up on the right-hand side.
He told the Southend Echo: "I feel this is my real position and I did well there in pre-season for the team, scoring a few goals.
"I hope to start on Saturday now against Oldham on the right wing which is where I feel I'm at my best."
