Dundee United boss Craig Levein is in no doubt his team were handed one of the toughest ties in the Co-Operative Insurance Cup third round when they were handed Ross County.
The Victoria Park side have started the season in Division One in brilliant fashion, winning four of their first six matches to go top of the table.
Levein travelled to Dingwall to watch them in person against Queen of the South two weeks ago and has had scouts assessing their last three matches in a bid to ensure his team are as fully briefed as possible.
He said: "I have been up to Dingwall to watch County myself and we've had another three reports done on their matches.
"They are really flying just now so it's one of the toughest draws we could have got, especially up there. They've got some really talented players and the biggest thing from Derek Adams' point of view is that they are on the crest of a wave just now. From that point of view you don't really want to be playing a team who are doing well at the top of their league away from home.
"We're under no illusions that it's a very difficult match. If we're going to get into the next round we're going to have to be at our best, there's no question about that."
