Mullin revels in Campbell woe

Morecambe striker Paul Mullin admitted his side came up against former England Sol Campbell at just the right time in Saturday's 2-1 win over Notts County.

Campbell is not yet match fit and struggled on his debut for the Magpies in the League Two encounter at Christie Park.

It was a harsh introduction to life in the basement for Campbell as headed goals from Jim Bentley and Mullin gave the Shrimps victory.

Mullin admitted: "They are going to be a real force in this division and Sol will be a great asset once he's fully tuned-up.

"We probably caught him at the right time.

"But it will still be a great story for me to tell in a few years' time about how I scored the winner against Sol Campbell."
